What can change your lingerie size?

I think everybody has experienced the horrible feeling of trying to put something on that you absolutely love, but it doesn't fit. It may be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on the person and their lifestyle.
Lingerie not fitting any more can actually be caused from a few things and it isn't as uncommon as you would probably think, many women would experience some kind of change in lingerie sizing, especially for bra sizing.
I wanted to write a blog post with some reasons that can explain why your lingerie sizing may have changed.
Firstly, I'd like to mention that I don't want you to be too harsh on yourself, no matter what the reason is!
Possible reason one - weight gain or loss
This one is a little self-explanatory. Losing or gaining weight will, of course, change your sizing (in all clothes, not just lingerie!).
Possible reason two - pregnancy
Sorry if this worries you but it's something that definitely changes your sizing, it is actually completely normal and common to go up one or two cup sizes while being pregnant.
Possible reason three - breastfeeding
While on the baby topic... Breastfeeding can and will also change your sizing, this is because as the milk comes into your breasts, they will get bigger and feel more "full".
However, when you eventually stop breastfeeding, the milk will dry up and your breasts may return to their original pre-pregnancy size or could end up slightly larger or smaller. Unfortunately, there isn't really a way to tell in advance, everybody is different.
Possible reason four - your period
Your body tends to retain more water than usual while you have your period, this can make your breasts feel more "full". It is more common for this to happen right before your period and then returns to normal when you finish.
Possible reason five - menopause
During menopause, your body will again retain more water than usual and your weight will most likely change again. This is completely normal for a woman going through menopause.
Possible reason six - birth control
There are certain birth controls which could make your breasts to grow as birth control can make your body retain more water than before.
Possible reason seven - puberty
Another self-explanatory one, when a woman experiences and goes through puberty, her breasts will continue to grow larger until puberty is finished.
As you can tell, there are quite a few reasons why your sizing may change, which again, is completely normal!! This is why we recommend you to get a professional fitting annually.
